Inspiring the Next Generation of Museum Professionals
Get ready—Museum Summer Camp is back for its second year! We will once again welcome high school students for a week packed with exploration, creativity, and behind-the-scenes adventures across the region.
Campers will dive into Randolph’s own treasures—studying artwork at the Maier and exploring the Ancient and Natural History Collections—before heading out to discover the wider museum community. This year’s lineup of field trips includes insider access and hands-on activities at Amazement Square, Jones Memorial Library, the Anne Spencer House Museum and Garden, Historic Sandusky, Old City Cemetery, Lynchburg Museum System, Daura Museum of Art, and Legacy Museum of African American History.
At each stop, campers will meet museum professionals and learn how exhibitions, collections, and programs come to life.
Back on campus, students will roll up their sleeves for creative projects, from designing personal journal scrapbooks to imagining their own dream museums. By the end of the week, they’ll have a deeper understanding of the field—and maybe even a spark that leads to a future career.
We can’t wait to welcome our next cohort of museum-curious teens for another unforgettable summer!
Refund policy: No refunds will be made during the two weeks before camp. If the Maier Museum of Art cancels the camp, a full refund will be made.
