The Maier depends on the generosity of our members for crucial support of exhibitions, programs, collections management, and the acquisition of art.
Memberships start at just $40, are valid for 1 year, and all Maier Members receive reciprocal membership with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond! Join at our $100 Friend level or above and enjoy reciprocal memberships at over 1,200 museums through the North American Reciprocal Museum Association.
Volunteer
You don’t have to be an art expert to volunteer at the Maier! We look for individuals who enjoy learning about American art and history, are open-minded and enthusiastic, appreciate meeting new people, and want to give back to the community.
Volunteers enjoy benefits such as access to exclusive lectures, tours, demonstrations, workshops, and behind-the-scenes access. Also, once a minimum number of service hours are met, volunteers are qualified to audit a selection of art history courses offered at Randolph College for free.
