High school students explore ways art serves a vital role in movements for social change and how it can be used as a tool for resistance using examples from the Maier’s collection and beyond. Then we will create protest art using the “photomontage” technique, a collage style invented by Dada artists of the early 20th century. Led by professor of art history, Lesley Shipley, and curator of education, Laura McManus. FREE to high school students. Seating is limited. Registration required. www.randolphcollege.edu/admission/visit/science-art-saturdays/
