Department: Maier Museum of Art
Number of positions available: 1
Essential Functions: Assists with museum projects and office assignments as needed. May be asked to assist with programs and events on nights/weekends and/or fill front desk receptionist shifts on weekends. Works on various assignments such as preparing materials for educational programs, marketing materials, posting flyers around campus, working with the museum’s files and Collection, such as researching artwork/artists and writing wall labels.
Qualifications: Must have strong research, writing, and computer skills. Prefer students majoring in art history, museum and heritage studies, studio art, history, or education, though students from all majors are encouraged to apply.
Working Environment: Position typically works in an office environment. Requires standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods of time. May occasionally lift 10-15 lbs.
Pay: $7.55 per hour
Hours: 4 hours/week
